Never Surprised!

Updated: Mar 10, 2022

Have you ever just stopped, looked around, and thought… WOW!!

Ministry life is anything but easy, it’s wondering if you did enough. It’s wondering if “your people” are going to be okay. It’s seeing them walking down the street, asking God when is the day they say yes to recovery? How much longer Lord?

Then there’s days like Monday.

Days when the Lord said, here’s your next facility. Here is where I need you to go.

So we make the call, leave the voicemail and wait. Staring intently at a phone, trying to wish it to ring.

And then it does.

As the conversation starts between us and the voice on the other end of the line, as the joy comes forth as we are told “yes, you can come in”, as the Lord whispers in their ear and says… send them to another.

We ended the conversation, with another number to call.

The second facility was no different. The Lord whispered to them “send them to a third”.

These 3 facilities were going to need 75 HEART bags total. But God… didn’t do anything 1/2 way and neither should we. Colossians 3:23

We leave Monday morning, with 99 bags!! An all day event, 75 recovering addicts. 75 souls. 75 Bibles. 75 people. 75 lives that will start their journey to recovery with the Word of God!

And because we know that our God is the God of abundance, we will have 24 extra, to leave for the next broken people to say yes to recovery.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
